Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Astro Symbols for Google Docs. By installing or using the service, you agree to them.

1. Description of the service

Astro Symbols is a Google Docs add-on that helps users insert astrological symbols and related notation into the currently open Google Docs document.

2. Eligibility and account requirements

You are responsible for using the service through a valid Google account and in compliance with the policies, restrictions, and administrative controls that apply to your Google Workspace environment.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service in violation of applicable law, third-party rights, or Google policies;
  • attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service or its supporting infrastructure;
  • use the service to distribute harmful code, spam, or unlawful content.

4. Google services and dependencies

The service depends on Google Docs, Google Workspace, Google Apps Script, Google Cloud, and related Google infrastructure. Availability and functionality may be affected by changes, outages, policy decisions, or technical limitations in those services.

5. Pricing and billing status

There is currently no public paid plan, subscription, or in-app checkout flow enabled for Astro Symbols. If a paid plan is introduced later, pricing and commercial terms will be published before users are asked to pay.

6. No professional advice

The service is a productivity tool for inserting symbols. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and you remain responsible for how you use any output created with it.

7. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business interruption, or document corruption arising out of or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $50.

9. Your responsibility for documents and backups

You are responsible for reviewing inserted content before relying on it and for maintaining your own document history, backups, and approval process. You should test the service in your environment before broad production use.

10. Suspension, termination, and changes

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms by publishing a revised version at the then-current terms URL.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service provider is established, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

12. Contact

For support or legal notices related to the service, use the private support channel or the contact method listed in the Google Workspace Marketplace configuration.

Practical note Strong terms help operationally, but they do not replace jurisdiction-specific legal review if you publish at scale.
