Astro Symbols is a Google Docs™ editor add-on that lets users search, copy, and insert astrological symbols into the currently open Google Docs™ document from a sidebar interface.
The service is designed to minimize data handling. Depending on how you use it, the service may process:
The current version of the service is not designed to sell personal data, build advertising profiles, or sync your document contents to external analytics or marketing systems operated by us.
Information handled by the service is used only to:
User preferences are stored using Google Apps Script™ PropertiesService on a per-user basis. Document content is processed in the context of the open document and is not intentionally retained by the service beyond what is required for the requested insertion action and any logging provided by Google infrastructure.
When available, the account email used for support and account identification may also be stored in Apps Script™ user properties associated with your use of the add-on.
Preference data is retained until it is overwritten, deleted from the underlying Apps Script™ environment, or the service is discontinued.
We do not intentionally share document content or user preference data with third parties for advertising purposes. The service runs on Google Workspace™, Google Apps Script™, and Google Cloud™ infrastructure, so data may be processed by Google as part of providing those services. Support form submissions may also be processed by the form delivery provider used on the public support page in order to route messages to our inbox.
The service relies on the native security controls of Google Workspace™, Google Apps Script™, and Google Cloud™ as the primary foundation for operation. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the add-on. You can also stop storing updated preferences by no longer using the service. For deletion requests related to stored account identification data, contact support using the public support page.
The service may be accessed from different countries and may rely on infrastructure operated in multiple jurisdictions by Google and its providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when published at the then-current policy URL, unless a later effective date is stated.
